Project Overview
Lush worked with Transparity’s DataShapa specialists to integrate data from more than 900 retail stores and multiple digital platforms into a central cloud-based repository. This enabled the business to connect operational systems, improve communication between data sources, and deliver near real-time analytics through Power BI.
The project gave Lush’s internal team ownership of their reporting environment while unlocking faster, more accurate insights. This success demonstrates how effective data consultancy services and robust data integration solutions can transform complex data into clear business intelligence.
The challenge
Lush have over 900 shops worldwide, a large Digital presence and many back-office systems that support their business. Lush needed a cloud-based data-platform that helped centralise data for use in their Business Intelligence and Reporting tools. The platform also needed to manage communication between operational systems and embed analytics in some of their systems.
The Solution
We worked in collaboration with the Lush Business Intelligence and Data teams to build an Integration Repository that pulls data from key systems, and acts as a data source for Power BI and Analytics. Our team utilised our Open Source framework to support this solution, bringing them in-line with Lush’s policy of using Open Source solutions where it can. Lush are also using Open Query to expose data in near real-time to consumers around the business.
The Impact
An integration repository that has multiple data sources coming from many areas of Lush’s business. Analytics being delivered to business users in near real-time, providing timely actionable insights. A solution and system that Lush’s internal team now own and continue to develop as the appetite for data at Lush continues to grow.
